Bienvenida Ixany, es un gusto tenerte en esta comunidad de artistas, y poder ser amigos. Tu arte evoca al romanticismo, la belleza y lo natural. Gran composicion de los elementos y formas. Un abrazo.
Ixany Ortega was born in Mexico City, April 23, 1975. She earned a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from the ‘Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado (ENPEG) "La Esmeralda"’ from the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA) in Mexico City simultaneously she participated in Drawing and Artistic Anatomy Free Workshops in "La Academia de San Carlos". She is now working with a master degree in Literally Studies from the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain.
During her academic years, she explores other art forms in other academic programs such as poetry, literature, composition and narrative writing, and she discovers herself as a poet and later on as a writer adding richness and depth to her career as an artist. Currently she continues her training in creative, narrative and storytelling writing in Fuentetaja in Madrid, Spain, helping her to complete her artistic production.
All these new knowledge has giving her an artistic interest to relate words and images in a way in which they connect with other visual art forms. She is able to define each discipline in its own form and identity looking for images that speak words and words that depict images.
From 1999 throughout 2006, she achieved several collective exhibitions in Mexico City. The first part of the "Hybrid Realities" project was exhibited on the set of the show “América en España” transmitted by Televisión Española (TVE) on November 28, 2007, filmed in Castilla La Mancha, Spain.
